Elevate your backyard entertainment for the day by simply renting a bounce house for their party.

Simple. Affordable. Memorable.

Lets do ourselves a favor and get back to the old school birthday parties we enjoyed as kids, the type of party that kids are running around entertaining themselves while the parents get to enjoy hosting and catching up with guests.

In a time when social media influence can encourage great ideas, sometimes it can be over the top, stringent, and a pricey budget that comes along with it.

As I weave through my memory of birthday party pasttimes, I remember playing with friends, requesting confetti cake, opening presents, getting embarrassed to give aunts and uncles hugs, then back to playing! The birthday party was an open canvas. Intentional from my parents or not, it was fun, easy to host, and it was cheap!

Now, take that open canvas, drop an inflatable bounce house in the middle and watch the excitement levels crank up to 10.

Backyard Birthday Party Basics

Parents, God bless every one of you, going above and beyond planning an epic birthday party. But it’s us, we do it to ourselves, complicating things unnecessarily. Lets help ourselves out and get back to the simple, classic backyard birthday party. Kids just want to play and eat a treat or two, and parents just want their kids to expend energy without expending their own. We can help you pull this off with minimal expenses and stress, and elevated fun!

I’ll share with you how to acheive the best results!

Spring, summer, and fall are the best seasons to host a backyard bounce house party. However, if you plan to take your party to a local park these ideas can be applied there as well. Winter birthday without the space to entertain? Check out a local church or sport complex that has open space to rent for a small fee!

1. Pick a Theme

Picking a theme can add a lot of fun to your kids birthday party! Of course, it’s not neccesary but its an added bonus. Picking a theme can also help simplify an activity or game.

Timeline: At least 6 weeks before party.
Theme ideas: Favorite books, movies, safari, princesses, sports, construction, tropical paradise, ladybugs, barnyard animals, ballerinas, etc.

Send Evites at this time too.

2. Plan an Activity Around the Theme

If you choose to do a theme, plan a fun activity for the kids to do together. Less is more, simple is the key to a planned activity.

Examples:

  • Construction party; digging in the sandbox with toy trucks
  • Ancient Rome; running around the yard in a chariot race.
  • Ladybugs; drawing pictures of ladybugs.
  • Tropical paradise; water ballons.

If you have the kids make a craft, it can double as a party favor. Party favors add to the complexity and are unnecesarry. If you find yourself contemplating sending the kids home with a goody bag, this approach could help you fill that bucket!

Incorporate a fun activity with the inflatable bounce house!

3. Prepare Easy Food and Drinks

Choose to serve food that you could prepare ahead of time.

  • Sandwiches, hot dogs, pizza, food the kids can grab and go and get back to playing!

Or, plan the party between meal times so you only have to serve snacks and cake. When planning your food, check your paper and plastic goods inventory. How will you serve drinks? Plastic cups, water dispenser, coolers, etc.

4. Leave Open Time For Free Play

The majority of the party should be open for the kids to invent their own fun. Trust me, with a bounce house, obstacle course, water slide, or slip n slide, you won’t have any stress wondering if they are going to stay entertained.

Kids are playing, meanwhile the parents enjoying the fun environment in their yard, sipping, eating, and chatting. Classic backyard birthday party memories!

5. Planning For Weather

Summer brings plenty of heat, if it’s a scorcher, have a plan to provide shade using umbrellas or a canopy tent for guests. A certain way to mitigate the heat is a water slide or slip n slide in your backyard. Just hook up the garden hose to gurantee nonstop, refreshing fun.

Cancelling is the last thing you want to do and oftentimes, a forecasted rainy day turns into a “not so bad day to have a party.” Our rain policy for inflatables is very customer focussed. We understand you have kids to entertain and typically the rain doesn’t deter the kids from jumping. If our customers think the kids will play and wind/lighting isn’t a factor we’ll be there!

And that’s about it! A backyard party made simple and affordable without the unneeded stress. To summarize, rent an inflatable, keep the main thing the main thing, and the rest will take care of itself! Dont forget the candles.
